I was born in Indiana, grew up in Europe, and returned to graduate from High School in New Jersey. I attended 4 universities over 8 years to complete my architectural studies (starting at Carnegie Mellon, and ending with my Bachelor of Architecture degree from Ball State in 1996). My work resume shows significant diversity, including work for larger firms, smaller firms and developers. Those experiences have exposed me to a full spectrum of creative and technical design projects, from small remodeling jobs to large, multi-million dollar facilities. I've also had opportunity to take a couple shots at operating my own computer rendering and architectural firms along the way.
Over this last decade, I have been afforded considerable autonomy to manage teams through a range of fun, challenging projects; primarily around Greater Indianapolis, but most recently in the San Francisco bay area in a fully remote role. I have been able to enjoy a heavy involvement in mentorship, innovation, neurodiversity research, brand and business development, HR, firm operations, quality control standards, and design leadership. In my primary role as senior architect, I've experiences a mix of industrial, medical, animal care, hospitality, fitness, religious, retail, parking structures, and not-for-profit projects.
Below are some comments from clients and colleagues on my behalf. Further down are examples from my portfolio to give you a better idea of my design and project management capabilities.
